NEWS: Sherry Mazzocchi Wins CUNY Hillman Foundation Prize for Social Justice Reporting.
Mazzocchi is the first-ever recipient of the CUNY Hillman Prize, which is given annually to a graduating CUNY Graduate School of Journalism student for demonstrated commitment to social justice reporting. Sherry Mazzocchi came to journalism through a long and circuitous route–from waitressing in New Orleans, designing costumes for Off-Broadway shows and toiling away in major Wall Street financial institutions. She recently graduated from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
